All my life I have been fascinated by language. As a child I was encouraged to embrace opportunities to increase my knowledge of languages and it expanded my world.  When I became a teacher language was always central to my passion, but I struggled to find a way to share this passion effectively in the classroom.  Teaching in a Montessori school was the answer I was looking for. Kaban provides the environment and philosophy that allows the children to lead; when children are exploring is when they will find joy in language and expression. Following the interests of children during work, play and discovery allows me to guide them towards a love of languages and in turn, the children teach me new things every day.  Kaban has both fulfilled and fueled my desire to encourage a passion for language and learning.
